Send a Smile/Frown NEW!
The Office System Information Worker Team has developed a new tool called Send a Smile/Frown to enable you to share with Microsoft both your great and frustrating experiences with Office "12". Use Send a Smile/Frown to send us quick, spontaneous, free-form feedback about the things that make you smile and the things that make you frown in Office "12".
Begin by installing the Send a Smile tool (0.61 MB). Two new icons will appear in the system tray - a green "smile" icon and a red "frown" icon.
When you have a great experience with Office "12", show us and tell us about it right away by clicking the green "smile" icon in the System Tray.
When something in Office "12" frustrates you, show us and tell us about it by clicking the red "frown" icon in the System Tray.
In either case, the program will provide a space for you to tell us about your experience and it will take a snapshot of your screen (Note: screenshot inclusion is optional).
Please keep in mind that the Send a Smile/Frown is not the way to report issues or bugs you find in Office "12" - always use Submit a Bug to report bugs. Also, please note that Send a Smile/Frown has not been designed for you to engage in conversations with us - always use the private Office "12" newsgroups for this type of communication. However, as soon as an Office "12" feature makes you happy or frustrated, use Send a Smile/Frown to tell us about it.
Enable Customer Experience
The Enable_CustomerExperienceV2.exe tool (0.18 MB) helps us to identify your usage and crash data. With this information, we can follow up with you personally, when needed, to help us better understand your usage scenarios and your reliability experience. For full information on what this tool does and how we protect your privacy, click here. NOTE: You must install Office "12", then open at least one Office "12" application BEFORE running this tool. If you have previously download this tool, you do not need to download it again.
Office Blogs NEW!
Straight from the product group, these new blogs are written by Microsoft Program Managers from various Office teams. Read up to learn the who, what, why, and how behind some of the cool new features in Microsoft Office "12".
Business Contact Manager - prizes!
In order to encourage Beta testers to test and play around with some of the cool new features of Business Contact Manager (BCM) for Outlook "12", the BCM team will reward Beta testers who provide quality feedback and submit great bugs. Prizes will be awarded each week for different categories; each of the categories and prizes for the week will be announced in the microsoft.beta.office12.client.bcm newsgroup. Keep checking the newsgroup for the current week's prizes and categories.
